Trips & Visits
At Froxfield we aspire to offer children a rich and varied learning experience. Learning outside the classroom is central to our ethos; step into our playground and you will often see maths learning chalked onto the tarmac, historical photographs hanging from trees and key questions hidden in our beautiful garden. We strive to make learning memorable; making lessons come alive.
Trips & Visits
Trips and visits are central to life and learning at Froxfield; both within our idyllic local area and beyond. These visits range from an outing to the local shop to learn about money to visits further afield, linked to our learning cluster, such as a visit to Windsor Castle when Class One learn about the monarchy.
Residential Visits
Children have the opportunity to take part in two residential visit experiences, one in Year 5 and one in Year 6. On a rotational basis we visit the Tile Barn Outdoor Centre in the New Forest for a week of outdoor adventurous activities, and the Minstead Study Centre for an environment-based week of activities.
Sports and Music
Both sport and music feature strongly in our provision, with numerous opportunities available for children to represent the school and perform to an audience. Froxfield children compete annually in The Butser Hill Challenge and children recently had the opportunity to perform on stage at The Grange Theatre.
